Mandy and Sheldon’s wedding at the Allen Farmhaus in New Braunfels, TX was an absolute dream!
Mandy contacted me about 6 months out from her wedding looking for a day-of coordinator. She was planning her wedding long distance from Chicago, Illinois, and with her mom and sister living in the area they were able to create a great group of vendors and a beautiful vision for the day, but they knew they wanted help pulling all of their details together on the big day.
We met a few months later at her mom’s house to discuss the wedding and go over our checklist for the day, and I knew right away that Mandy was an amazing DIY Bride! She was organized and had a clear vision, and her mom drew diagrams and layouts to show me how the decor should look. (Isn’t she a fantastic artist?) They made the process so easy and were very clear on what they wanted.
Mandy and Sheldon had a beautiful ceremony in the chapel at the Allen Farmhaus. It was decorated with drapery, greenery, and florals provided by The Bloom Bar, with large lanterns to frame the space. While the space was fantastic, I’m sure that no one was paying attention when Mandy and her father walked through the doors: She looked beautiful in her dress by BHLDN, and hair and makeup by Blushd Beauty!
A favorite part of the ceremony for all in attendance was a young nephew announcing, “It’s about time!” when Mandy and Sheldon were pronounced Man and Wife. Out of the mouths of babes…
Following the ceremony, guests were directed to a happy hour on the Farmhaus lawn where there were drinks, food, games, and rocking chairs for guests to enjoy.
After their grand entrance, Mandy, Sheldon, and their guests enjoyed a delicious dinner served by Jimmy Lyn’s Catering. The Farmhaus’ long tables were decorated with long garlands of eucalyptus accented by large lanterns. The result was a soft, romantic setting for the evening.
Shortly after dinner their beautifully simple cake from Root Cellar Bakery in San Marcos was cut and enjoyed, along with several flavored cheesecakes with any topping you could imagine.
The Pearsons and their guests danced to the musical performances of The Royal Dukes Band who kept the party going well into the night. There was even a little karaoke performed by the bride and groom!
Thank you, Mandy and Sheldon, for being such a fun couple to work with, and for allowing me to serve you on your wedding day. I wish you all the best in your many years to come!
